NIGHTMARE IN GREASEPAINT

My horror novella written under my horror pseudonym G Daniel Gunn and co-authored with L.L. Soares, is available currently as an ebook at all major outlets (Amazon (http://goo.gl/jc9iZ4 ) Barnes & Noble (http://goo.gl/LUqGyV ) or anywhere ebooks are sold), and sells for less than three bucks.

The printed version, containing our novella plus three others, is slated for early October under the name CHILDHOOD FEARS. I don’t see it available for pre-order just yet, but hopefully coming soon

If you’ve read and enjoyed it already, consider leaving a review! The more reviews a work has the better the retail outlets usually list them

WICKED TALES, From the New England Horror Writers

On June 1st of this year, the New England Horror Writers released our third anthology of short stories, called WICKED TALES: THE JOURNAL OF THE NEW ENGLAND HORROR WRITERS, VOLUME 3. I don’t have a story in here, rather, I co-edited the collection, along with Scott Goudsward and David Price. It’s an amazing collection of stories from New England authors, with an introduction by Chet Williamson and awesome cover art by the artist Ogmios.

PLAGUE OF DARKNESS
M most recent novel as Daniel G. Keohane is still available. It’s gotten some nice reviews but could always use some more. If you’ve read it, why not leave a review, let others think, good or bad. I’ve thick skin.

UPDATE ON CURRENT PROJECTS

Some MARGARET’S ARK news coming soon: in negotiations to create an Audio book of the novel. More as it progresses, but this should be cool when it’s completed later this year.

My latest novel-in-progress, a rather unique horror novel written as G Daniel Gunn, is called (for now) LOST IN THE WOODS. Still working to finish the first draft and type those ever-elusive final two words: THE END, hopefully soon. More as this progresses.

I’ve a number of Movie Reviews out, most recently for the blockbuster action film MISSION IMPOSSIBLE – ROGUE NATION (2015) and the independent sci-fi film LOVE (2011). Coming soon a review of the awesome family movie MR. PEABODY & SHERMAN (2014). For a full list of reviews you can visit (http://dankeohane-reviews.blogspot.com/)

“My Dearest Gwendolyn,” a short story, is coming eventually to the shared anthology MADHOUSE, once all contributor copies are signed. Currently the sig sheets are traveling the country.

OK, that’s about it. Hopefully I’ll be better about sending these out more often. Of course, I’ve said that before.

Dan News: Nightmare in Greasepaint release; Wicked Tales coming soon; Destroyer Sale

Hi, everyone. Long time no email. Should have sent this out earlier. Just a couple of quick notes to catch you up on:

NIGHTMARE IN GREASEPAINT Release

My novella NIGHTMARE IN GREASEPAINT, written with L. L. Soares (and me writing as G. Daniel Gunn), has officially been released. It is initially released as a stand-alone e-book (Kindle, Nook, etc). In October, the publisher is releasing it, and three others (also currently released as standalone e-books) together in a print edition called Childhood Fears. More as I hear about it.

FYI, a novella is somewhere between a story and a novel, length-wise.

Available at Amazon (http://goo.gl/jc9iZ4) Barnes & Noble (http://goo.gl/LUqGyV) or anywhere ebooks are sold. (Amazon's got it on sale currently, but highest prince is only 3 bucks anyway).

DESTROYER OF WORLDS only 99 cents

To celebrate the release of "The Billy Story" as we've like to call NIGHTMARE IN GREASEPAINT, my other G Daniel Gunn novel, DESTROYER OF WORLDS is only 99 cents for kindle! What Horror Fiction Review called "The first Great Novel of 2012!". Get it here: http://goo.gl/e4yntO

WICKED TALES Coming June 1st from New England Horror Writers

I'm the editor, along with Scott T. Goudsward and David Price, of the third anthology from the New England Horror Writers, set for release June 1st. It should be appearing on the various channels in the next couple of weeks for pre-order. It's an awesome collection of short stories by some of the best horror writers in the region, with an introduction by Chet Williamson and incredible cover art by the artist Ogmios.

Visit www.newenglandhorror.org for a peek at the cover and a full list of authors.

That's it. Thanks for Reading. :)

Check online for updates as they happen!

Plague of Darkness Releasing Tomorrow, Thursday 11/20/14

Hi, everyone! Real quick update - sorry for those not on Facebook, I forgot to send this announcement via email earlier...

Tomorrow, Thursday 11/20, is the official release of my new novel Plague of Darkness!

Here's all the info fit to print (here, at least)

Print Edition:     $12.99
Kindle Edition:    $2.99
ISBN-13: 978-0983732945
258 pp

People hide their secrets in the dark. Sometimes, that same darkness is what will eventually reveal them.

Eight months after Saint Gerard's Episcopal Church closes its doors, the building has become the new home of Bill and Seyha Watts. The house, however, has plans for its new occupants. Trapped in a biblical darkness that can be felt, four people stumble through a surreal nightmare where the only escape is through their deepest fears and memories. Cut off from the outside world, they are prisoners of a power they cannot see, struggling to understand what is truth – and what is a lie.

Ok, keeping it brief and to the point! Hope you enjoy it...!

Dan News 10/6/14 - no, really!

Hi, everyone. Yea, this newsletter is still around, though it's been - what - 3 years since the last one? Facebook has made me lazy. Not even sure how up-to-date some of the emails are. But, sending this out because I actually have news, believe it or not!

1. Plague of Darkness, a new novel, coming soon
2. Talk and Signing at Tewksbury Public library tomorrow night
3. Pre-Orders being taken for new anthology, Madhouse, with a new short story of mine
4. Reading/Signing in Princeton October 27th
5. Down the road a little

1. My newest novel, Plague of Darkness, a long time in coming, will soon be released. It may be as soon as next month.I'll send an update once it's available

2. I'll be at the Tewksbury Public Library tomorrow night, Tuesday, October 7th, from 7:00 - 9:00PM, along with nine other members of the New England Horror Writers, as part of the library's first annual Merrimack Valley Horror Author Fair (it is October, after all). We'll each spend a few minutes talking about our writing then meet & greet at the table and sign some books. Refreshments & door prizes abound. Tewksbury Public Library: 300 Chandler St, Tewksbury, Massachusetts 01876

3. I have a new short story, "My Dearest Gwendolyn," written under my pseudonym G. Daniel Gunn, appearing in an upcoming anthology called MADHOUSE. This anthology is quite unique and is shaping to be quite the event. There is an over-arching story of a remote asylum in the desert where a John Doe begins to speak after decades of silence, beginning a plague of madness that begins spreading throughout the hospital. Interspersed through the main arc are stories written by other authors which stand alone but also add to the overall storyline. The illustrations alone are enough to give you nightmares.
Madhouse is currently up for pre-order at various levels, from $1 for a simple PDF copy to paperbacks, signed hardcovers, even deals where you can also be included as a character in a story. It's a pretty clever way of doing it. Check it out, some of the special deal are already sold out. Visit https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/madhouse-a-shared-world-horror-anthology for pre-ordering information and all the information on the anthology and the authors involved.

4. On Tuesday, October 27th, I'll be doing a reading and signing, likely from Plague of Darkness as well as other writings, and tasting wine at The Thirsty Lab, 206 Worcester Road, in Princeton MA. They do a special wine-tasting event the last Tuesday of every month where they bring in local authors to do readings of their work, interspersed with tastings of wine, cheese and craft beers. Last month the speaker was local poet Claire Golding. Since this month's October, it's my turn. :) Come on down (or up, to mountain country) for what should be a fun, interesting time.

5. OK, that's it. Sorry it's been so long. As you can see, things have started up again after a too-long hiatus. There should be news about another reading/signing in Worcester at Annie's Book Stop sometime in November. In the meantime, I'm trying to be heads down on the next book, the long overdue sci-fi novel called Plague of Locusts. I might try my hand (again) at NaNoWriMo as well next month. If I do, might just put on my Gunn hat and write a zombie novel.

As always, if you'd like to be taken off this list, just let me know. Not a problem at all.

Hi, everyone. I know, been a long time since I've sent out one of these email notifications. Just wanted everyone to know that my old short story collection, Christmas Trees & Monkeys, originally published in 2002, has been released as an ebook by Necon eBooks (http://www.neconebooks.com/). For only $2.99, you can get it in every version (Kindle, Nook, PDF) for every ebook reader, directly from the site, or you can now order directly from Amazon and/or your Kindle at:

For more info, you visit at http://www.dankeohane.com/.

Some more pretty big news coming soon, before the summer is out, I think. But for now, go on out and grab a copy of CT&M, and tell your friends. :-)

Christmas Trees & Monkeys Now Available as ebook!

My first short story collection, Christmas Trees & Monkeys, Collected Horror Stories Volume 1, is now available as a Kindle, Nook, what have you, ebook from the fine folks at Necon eBooks! With brand new cover art by the venerable Kelli Jones, the collection is much the same as the original, with minor tweaks in some of the introductions, but for the low price of 4.99, can't beat it. Also, as with the print edition, 100% of author proceeds will be donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Right now the book is available direct fron Necon eBooks, but they'll soon be available directly from Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I'll let you know when they are, but note that we make a better profit if ordered directly from the publisher (who emails you every ebook version directly, which is pretty cool).

OK, let me know what you think.

Dan News - Long Overdue Update

Hi, everyone. I apologize for taking so long since my last email newsletter. I've been trying to keep my website (www.dankeohane.com) and facebook (http://www.facebook.com/people/Dan-Keohane/1175730240 ..I think that's the link) page up-to-date, but I know not everyone gets to these. So, to catch you up:

* Next Wednesday, January 19, at 6:30 p.m. Morven Westfield (Darksome Thirst, The Old Power Returns), Tracy Carbone (The Man of Mystery Hill) and I will be taking part in a reading, signing and panel discussion on using local settings in their works of horror, among other topics, for the WEST BOYLSTON ARTS FOUNDTION, in West Boylston, MA. Event begins at 6:30 p.m. at West Boylston's Beaman Memorial Library. All are welcome and attendance is free. For directions, visit http://www.beamanlibrary.org/directions.html

* My latest short story, "Last Halloween," is currently featured in the special Halloween issue (issue #10) of Shroud magazine. You can order a copy of the issue at http://www.shroudmagazine.com/ . You may also still be able to find a copy in Barnes & Noble and other major magazine racks, but if you want to be sure of getting a copy, probably best order online. If you do see the magazine in stores, let me know.

* My story collection from 2002, CHRISTMAS TREES & MONKEYS, is coming soon to the Kindle, and all other e-reader formats. Necon E-Books, a new e-book venture begun by the Booth family (who run the annual Necon writers conference), will be publishing the collection and making it available everywhere. Contracts are signed, and new cover art is being finalized. Once done, it will be made available soon afterwards. I kept the format and content of this edition much the same as the original, with some minor updates here and there. As with the printed edition, all author royalties for the ebook will go to the National MS Society.

* I haven't done one in a while, but I've been doing the occasional movie review for Cinema Knife Fight (www.cinemaknifefight.com), the Bram Stoker Award nominated horror/sci-fi/fantasy movie review site run by L.L.Soares and Michael Arruda. Running a bit behind on doing these, but I do have a 2010 Year In Review recently posted at the site.

Thanks
Dan
